This collector’s statue commemorates the Minute Man. Civilian colonists organized themselves into a well-prepared militia that was strategically prepared for battle during the American Revolutionary War. They get their namesake from famously being ready for battle at a minute’s notice. The Minutemen were unique in that they were a remarkably mobile and quick force that could immediately respond to any threats against the colonies. The Minutemen made up about one quarter of the militia. The legacy of these men carries on in this beautiful sculpture.
